Need your opinion on this strat combo

Hi guys. I need your help on the following matter:
I currently own a strat with Lil59 B/Stock Hot Single M/Lil59 N combo.
I'm not satisfied with the sound I get from #2 and #4 positions and I believe that's due to the Hot Output pickup in the middle. I am after the classic strat sound (quack, glassy) on the notch positions. I was thinking of replacing this middle pickup with a SSL-1 and have auto-coil tapping (split lil 59s) on #2 and #4 positions. Do you guys believe that this would yield the sound I'm looking for on the notch positions? Any other suggestions?

It would work reasonably well but it'd still not be 100% classic strat notch positions.
Certainly closer than what you have now though...

the ssl1 is my favorite pup to improve notch position tone

That is good news. Do you believe split lil59s on #2 and #4 will provide a good tone? I love both lils when distorted, but I wanted them glassier and more stratish on the #2 and #4 positions.

Yeah, it'll be glassier for sure, stratier, again yeah but not exactly the same.
Still, if you like them on their own then they'll be good enough.

Don't worry, it'll be fine.
