Never and Always (HEAVY rock)

Re: Never and Always (HEAVY rock)

Hey, hey, hey! Just try failing, one time! Just ONCE!

Rockin' as always, man. :headbang:

Re: Never and Always (HEAVY rock)

Earth Alliance? I wonder what the Browncoats would think of that? (Firefly/Serenity ref just in case...)

Heavy stuff. I love the part around 1:40 and after. Evil sounding harmonies!

Re: Never and Always (HEAVY rock)

wild lead - starts off pretty crazy! almost sounds like a different instrument than guitar (in a good way)

Re: Never and Always (HEAVY rock)

Dude - that's just cool as sh!t. That just gave me some new ideas... :scratchch

Thanks brutha, rock on!

heh browncoats dont resist the Alliance's assertion of intergellactic control!! Yall are too kind, much appreciated. means alot!
Your stuff in your signature is really awesome as well, Im listening to reversed thoughts right now, intense solo, lots of great musicianship there.
thanks, cheers! lots of cool bands out there, thanks for listening

Right on, thanks, bunch of hammer ons instead of up/down picking - it needed a lot of compression and delay/reverb to sound right in this mix, kinda like fingertapping type solos methinks. glad my solos sound crazy and different; small victory, yay!

cheers yall! Good times, I drink a beer to this :beerchug:

Super cool ****!

Thanks brutha! :beerchug:

It was my sg standard into my $100 toneport, into reaper recorded late at nite. took 2 hours writing and recording it. double tracked the rhythym guitars. reamped everything so two amps for each guitar track, so the tweakage happens afterward, lots of eqing and compression. I save my effects chains so I just tweak them for new songs. I'd love to mike the thunderverb soon!! it sounds MONSTEROUS.

Nicely done!

Thanks! Im glad to be part of the rickenbacker bass club. :)

One more smack down heavy thing!
As usual a great deal of fun!
Man what a raw raw sound:D

Right on, cheers :)

Raw, Punchy, Heavy. Man I would like to hear this live, to shake my balls for pleasure LOL

:jester: lol haha

Re: Never and Always (HEAVY rock)

thanks for the info.

no prob, thanks much for the props ;)

as I dive into indulgent rants...

I dig your guitar tone on your recordings; fits your style of guitar playing. I need the high wattage stuff for my chunky stuff; Im going for the 100 watt tone and its compromise living in an apartment, to me it instantly sounds like solid state modeler - my epiphone valve junior is tooooo loud for apartments!

really hard for line 6 stuff to sound like real speakers I think, I always like the tone of my Forest Wispers and Segway songs - did those with my epiphone valve junior at low volumes and it sounds great to hear speakers moving.

bottom line is my toneport gets me where I want to go - writing and recording songs. that way I can progress till I join a band again. I suppose I could go on and on about how I adjusted my effects chains but a lot of it is tweaking knobs and thinking about subtractive eq principles that I dont look up and drums I never eq at all, and no matter how much I doctor it up its gonna have that computer generated toneport sound. no way the bass line is gonna sound like this hallucination bomb http://www.myspace.com/monstermagnet :scared:for instance, unless I had an axefx, those computer modelers still dont sound super organic to me, not like a fuzz pedal into a 100 watt marshall type tone anywayz

Re: Never and Always (HEAVY rock)

I listened to this the other day, you are the riff meister! Looking forward to when you get a full band playing your heavy riffs, should be great.
