THIS AMP IS TOO DAMN GOOD!!!

Man, I can't give you a real diagnosis right now as to the specifics of what I think... but I can tell you this... IT IS AMAZING!!! Im loving it!

I've been jamming on 10 for the past hour. The greatest tone. You can have it cranked and have your high notes sweet or mean depending on how you hit them, and your low notes thump or roar... very very dynamic and sensitive. An overall beautiful tone too, I can get the Clapton going, Peter Green, or the Hendrix at anytime.

Ill post a real review on the forum once im over this nirvana, for now all I can say is awesome, awesome, awesome.

that would freak me out too if that was the first thing I saw!! I'm sure your amps are absolutely amazing Scott and I wish I could get the cash to buy one of your amazing creations. Maybe I'll sell my Traynor YBA-1A and my Peavey Delta Blues to snag one of your amps! It's a though. Would love to snag a Marshall Plexi style amp in a combo! that would be sweet...anyway. \

Seriously, this thing is beyond awesome or rich. It is a very complex tone so its a bit hard for me to articulate.

One thing that really impressed me was its level of translusence to the tone you create with your fingers, and its dynamics and sensitivity to your attack. Even with its translusence, it adds a completely different color to the tone.

The cleans are great. On the normal channel it adds sweetness, a smooth grit, and that "sag", like clapton on the beano album. On the bright you get Fender cleans, like Hendrix, snappy and lively.

Crank her up and you get a pounding thump constantly on the lower notes, while the dynamics and sensitivity to the higher strings increases tremendously, while cranked you can make the lower strings roar when you dig in, and the higher strings sing. That marshall tone. Makes soulful playing really stand out.

I was getting tones from Clapton, to Green, to Hendrix to SRV with my strat with Surfers and the LF SP43. Once I plugged my Fulltone '69 Fuzz in, I got that fuzzy, gritty, churning Hendrix Isle Of Wight Tone. Switch to the neck pickup, or neck and middle, you can get that chubby SRV tone. Bassman on Marshall steroids.

Seriously an amazing amp, the price is the most amazing part for an amp built this well. The quality is professional on the outside and inside.

Thanks for the kind words. I think it's got some great tone.

I put a Chinese 12AX7 in the V1 slot. JJ 12AX7 in V2 and a balanced JJ 12AX7 in V3. Groove Tube KT66HP's in it.

I'm still betting that you get the amp chassis from me before Swanson gets you the head.... I'm just about done. I'm actually hoping to starting burning it in tonight. Patience young Skywalker.

No problem... us shoe splatterer's have to stick together.

It's all the fault of football. Completely thrown me off track. The results will be worth it, though, I promise.

I'll have her buttoned up tonight, torture test for a few days, then send it out. I think I can get it to ... ahem.... Fed Ex by Saturday AM. Monday AM at the latest.
