BOSS DD-20:
What do ya think? This is my first delay pedal. I've wanted one for sometime and my local store got this in used last week ,so I went and researched it and went in today and got it! I was a little sketchy 'cause I have a MXR supercomp on order as well as a dunlop DC brick, but I said "screw it!" and went for it. My MXR should be arriving tomorrow or this week sometime, we have no idea on the power supply though. I picked up this bugger for $160 canadian including a BOSS power supply, origional box, even new batteries! Only thing I didn't get was the manual which I have on my computer anyways. So far its a great pedal but I haven't had much time to play with it and I'm a noob when it comes to delay pedals, I know how delay works but never owned a delay pedal before! so...
Can anyone give me some suggested settings? I'm going for a john petrucci type lead delay, not too exadurated but I don't want it to sound just like reverb either! So does anyone got any tips on a petrucci type delay? Or a gilmourish type delay?
I'll post more of a review type post or thread once I get more used to this thing, no point on trying to review it now! First impressions are great though! So just for fun I'd thought Id throw in a shot of my pedalboard (the board itself is almost complete, so bear with the bare wood, I'll definatly post pics when my other 2 things on order come in, then it will be complete!)
Guitar>Wah>Chorus>Noise Supressor (front)
Delay>EQ (loop)
Any other delay tips, tricks or reccomendations please throw forth!
