New amp cover!

I just got my amp covers in the mail today! I built a Mission 5E3 kit and since I'm gigging with it fairly often, I don't want the tweed to get wrecked.

I ordered from Coveramp.com and I cannot say enough about how awesome their covers are! They're a small operation and will basically make you a cover for anything. The materials are very high quality and the fit and finish is superb. I had to do mine as a custom order because they didn't have the exact dimensions of mine on file, but the price is the same either way. I already had one of their covers for my CVR and it's equally awesome. Plus their turnaround and communication is excellent.

Anyway, the photos!

This is a soft cover but the material is so thick it stands up on its own when empty!

Re: New amp cover!

Awesome looking cover there. When did you build a 5e3?? Was there a build thread that I missed?

Re: New amp cover!

No padding. That's just their standard cover!

I got their "Studio" cover for my Traynor YBA200 head (since it just sits there and collects dust) which is their cheaper lightweight more of a dust cover. Even that cover is fairly robust and I think it would be fine for most local gigging applications where you're just loading it in and out of your car. It's better than say, the factory issue covers that you get with a Fender amp.

I think their full-on padded covers are pretty much the best you can get before going to a hard road case.

Based on the quality and custom fitting, I'd say their prices are more than reasonable. You even get to pick your thread colour when you order (so they pretty much are made to order).

I was thinking about getting a cover for my Bassman head and this thread popped into my mind. IIRC you've said before that you're gigging your Bassman more now, am I right? Despite that, while you gigged with this amp, how well did you find the cover to hold up?

I've been known to be a bit rough on my gear, and that cover looks so nice that it almost defeats the purpose of the cover in the first place. Perhaps something like a Tuki is more what I'm looking for....

The Coveramp standard cover is plenty durable. WAY thicker than those vinyl Fender covers that come with their amps.

Coveramp does have options for extra padding layers for ultimate protection.

New amp cover!

If they don't stock it you can custom order one. They actually don't cost any more for a custom order. You just take all the measurements using one of their templates.

I'm pretty sure they're all made to order anyway.
