I have an EQD Hoof Reaper and a Fuzz Face. I'd recommend either.

I am one of those "snobs" that thinks Marshall has not made a "good" amp since about 1985.
Other than Clones and Reissues, I have always thought the VM was about the "best" amp Marshall has made in a long time.
It all comes down to individual needs of course...there are not really any "bad" amps.
Anyway.....hope this amp fits your needs like a tonal glove.....good luck my friend.

Hoof-like ? . . . i have a Black Russian Muff, not sure how close they are to one another.
