New amp day!

No retail for me. Did a trade with a local dude. Put my Fane Blue speaker in it, and I love how it sounds. It'll take some time getting used to the Fender tones, since I have been playing more Marshally stuff for the last few years.

It is quite clean. It's had the power capacitors replaced, and a couple mods. I am likely going to tailor it to my needs a bit more. It'll be interesting to have a Fender amp again!

I've missed this tone. Even the drive channel is usable. It's got Groove Tubes 6L6WXT's, and 2 EH gold pin 5751's in V1 and V2, and a vintage RCA 12au7 PI. It really brings the volume to manageable levels and the amp just sings. The Fane alnico 100 watter is glorious in this amp.

I heard somewhere that that amp is the best selling guitar amplifier of all time. Not sure, but it sounds likely.

Having authentic Marshall and Fender tones is a good place to be. That Fane sounds like a great speaker for rich and detailed clean tone.

Honestly, I have a few guys around me that are nutso shredder guys. One is young and uses rack preamps and a Mesa tube power amp. Then the other guy owns Elmwood, Laney, Marshall JCM800s, and tons of amazing pedals. If I ever came at them with some solid state stuff, they'd smack me. Lol.

I know next to nothing about Fanes outside of the the Crescendos I have in my Hiwatt cab, but those bad boys break up early ... it's a great sound, but not my go-to for clean! Dunno anything about their other models, tho.
