New Amp Time Please Advice

Ok what i have now is blues junior,fine in the bedroom but lately we are doing regular gigs ,last Sat i was struggling for more power and the venue wasn't that big,but lot of noisy people .I wanted a JCM 800 combo 50Watts but the thing is that i have to sell my BJunior and use that cash with some greens i've saved.I want something that could be powered down to bedroom level and during gigs to power back upto 50watts.
I was looking at used Mesa Express ,looks pretty good on paper,guys please suggest something.

Possibly check out the Line 6 Spider Valve as it also sounds great at most volume levels and it also sounds great when cranked. It should do what you're looking for. Make sure you play it in person before committing though.

They had a pa ,but we used it just for the vocals,it was a small place (basement) in NYC and i thought my BJ'r should do but there were more people than we expected,(i guess the other bands fans)lol.

guys do you think that i can a jcm 800 50watt combo on bedroom volume and still sound good? and which jcm ??

Maybe you should get one of those Line6 Bogners. You can get one of those to sound almost just like a Marshall JCM800. Save yourself some green and get it new. You will then get some decent tone at bedroom levels.

Perhaps a JCM800 and a little practice amp, like a line 6, roland or vox. Then you have a rig for each purpose.

The Peavey Delta Blues. I've played it (the 2x10" type) and it's got plenty of power. Still, for what it's worth, two Blues Juniors in stereo would also work. Me, I play on a '72 Fender Twin Reverb so I've played the Delta Blues at church before, but not really much other than that.

I like going stereo. Since you already have a BJ, I'd get an amp with similar power but a different voice. A Crate V16 would be cool.
