Re: New Amp Time!!!

I knew there was no bad vibs...I have just come to relize that you like it NASTY...the CVR is fatter in the mids than a BF Fender but crunches almost like a tweed/Plexi Marshall but it has a killer reverb and Trem...all in a neat little 2x10 package!

Sounds awesome, congrats on the new amp.

Re: New Amp Time!!!

If you don't mind, how much? At least it's already been upgraded with speakers and new tubes! I'm actually selling my Bassman LTD, since I have no use for a loud clean amp with no reverb. Everytime I plug into the Matchless sitting next to it, I ask myself "why do I need this Bassman?"

Re: New Amp Time!!!

Thats the one!

I played through one a few weeks ago and I was blown away!!!

the one thing I was not crazy about was the stoxk Fender speakers...ths one already has Kendrick speakers in it.

Re: New Amp Time!!!

I saw your post on the speakers...I played some of those old Kendrick amps...the bassman copies.... back in the day (I dont think they are around anymore?)....incredible amps...closest I've come to buying a "bassman"

If the speakers are half as good...you'll be happy

Re: New Amp Time!!!

i like this amp from when i remember playing it. I put those knobs on my super 112 cause i dig that contrast of black and creme.....i havent seen many fenders using that (this may be the only one?)

Re: New Amp Time!!!

Flank...there were a few transitiona BF Fender amps that had those knobs on them in the middle 60's but not many...as for the amp itself, I was impressed. It had good cleans and the OD was very natural sounding. They have more mids than a BF/SF Fender amp but they are also a bit smoother than a Tweed...almost like an early 60's Blond or Brown Fender but they do crunch faster than most Fender amps. They also have a great reverb that is not as wet sounding as a BF/SF Fender and built in trem...which as funny as this is...I love amps with built in trem but I rarely use it!:smack: Anyway...it should be killer with those Kendrick speakers and after I put a set of tubes in it I think it will be a welcome addition.

Re: New Amp Time!!!

nice amp man, I see you used the old "i'll give you x dollars now" approach. That's a nice approach haha.

Yeah...it got me good! Those little amps kick a whole lot of ass. They are about 40 watts but made to crunch, they do have a good clean tone but not for long! Me only real complaint with the amp besides the crappy stock tubes was the crappy stock speakers, that one already has Kendrick 10's in it and tubes are no biggie...the down side is that I'll have to wait a full week or more to get it!

Re: New Amp Time!!!

Waiting for new gear.....hmmmm,sounds familiar.

What did you tell me, "You've waited this long......."

Re: New Amp Time!!!

I did say that...you win!

I wanted to do payapl or something but the seller didn't deal with PP so I have to wait on snail mail from Atlanta to California then I have to wait on the amp to get here from Cali...BTW...any word on how far the IBIRD has flown?

Re: New Amp Time!!!

No clue....it has to run thru Customs:smack:

Hey, spend the extra couple dollars & send it USPS Priority Mail.
