Had to share the good news. Through a friend of a friend I recently met a guy that had a Bad Cat and Soldano SLO (with all the mods) for sale at a price I couldn't pass up. I quickly returned my vintage modern to Guitar Center and got these instead!!!

The Soldano is an extremely honest amp, even more so than my splawn quickrod. You have to have your chops in shape or it lets everyone know and on top of that it's loud as h*ll!!! The tone, however, is simply amazing, smooth and biting with a nice bottom end. the sustain and the harmonics this amp produces are amazing!!! The Clean channel set on crunch mode has some great cleans with the guitar volume rolled back or some really gritty & nasty rock tones with a TS pushing it!!! Overall it's easily the best amp I've ever played for a pure "modified marshall" type of rock tone!!!

I haven't had a chance to play the bad cat that much, but the kids are visiting grandparents this weekend so I'll be putting it through its paces soon enough.

I'm so giddy with my new finds that I had to share with my forum bros!!!

I don't like the way the Soldano looks, but I bet that sounds phenomenal. And everything else is beautiful.

How amazing is that Bad Cat? They're soo much but I hear they're even better than Orange amps and can easily be compared to Wizard amps.

This world still got hope if we have males growing up under soldano/marshall half stocks. Yeah dude dont have the need for the SLO but I am getting the avenger sometime soon as complement to my Laney, I love that grainy break up so articulate, love to hear about marshalls new stuff being returned, puts a smile on my face. We wanna hear CLIPS !!!!

That is not helping my Soldano GAS! My Marshall 2203 is getting most worried with all these ads for Soldano I keep looking at!

I haven't played it much since it's just my kids and I in the house and they are in bed by 9 every night. The little I have played it, it sounds pretty D$MN GOOD!!! I'll let you know after giving it a full test drive this weekend

I need to set myself up to record on my computer so I can post some clips. I will play the soldano at a gig this weekend so I'll get to open it up a bit!!!

On loan to a friend of mine. I doubt it's going anywhere, but it's not a bad day when you'll have a splawn and a marshall jubilee as back up high gain heads!!!

That's a sweet amp setup now! Even that Classic 50 has incredibly good tones in it. The Slash is the ultimate hotrodded Marshall, but that Soldano takes in the 6L6 direction. You're in tone heaven! You can get some really good Joe Perry-esque sounds out of that Bad Cat....as a matter of fact, I think Brad Whitford uses one too.

Fantastic, some of you guys on here make me laugh (well... cry), you have an amp for every guitar it seems. You should set them ALL up at a gig and use the lot! Excellent buy mate... all the best with those.

After playing this alot this weekend, I'm not sure this is an amp I'll jive with. It sounds great, just not my my thing. Maybe I just need to spend more time with it??

I did get the chance to open up the Soldano at a gig this weekend and that thing gets even more "awesome" when you can open it up and push some air. It had been awhile since I'd gotten that many compliments on my sound in one night.
