Hey Guys,
It's only been a couple of days since I joined the Forum. But I'm getting addicted. I'm on here a couple of times a day reading all the posts. Tons of info, no attitude (for the most part, lol), the love of SD pickups, etc.........just guys like me, diggin' guitars. And I was beginning to think I was a dying breed!

Thanks for the compliment on my Les. I gotta tell ya, it's a real sweetheart. I've owned a few Les Pauls over the years, and as hard as I wanted to like them, none of them truly did it for me. It happened that my buddy was looking for a nice flametop, and I helped him locate this one at The Great American Guitar Show in Philly a bunch of years back. I played it for quite a while before turning him on to it, and he bought it. As we were leaving the show, I told him "If you EVER sell this guitar, I WILL buy it". That day came about 4 years ago, and I still get the fuzzies everytime I play it. It's a real nice weight, the flame looks like a real vintage 'burst, and it plays flawlessly. The tone was REALLY hot before I swapped out the factory Gibson ceramics for a new SD '59 neck and bridge set. Now it sounds like the real deal.

My buddy was over for New Year's, and sat and played his old flame for quite a while................I think I saw a tear in his eye.
