Looks cool, next generation 20 series basically. For people that want something similar to that 500 series but simpler it’s a great concept.

Looks like a great middle ground between something like a DD-20 and DD-500, if you want the delay versions.

I'll probably get at least 2 of them. September release - can't wait!

I'm really liking the memory functionality on the EQ, I could use that right now! Sweetwater has them listed for $249.99, I think I'm going to be making some purchases in the near future....

I always thought a MIDI EQ Pedal in the loop could give you some massive tonal possibilities.

I remember even when I had a BOSS GE7 it was a VERY powerful tone shaper in the loop. I usually used one for lead boosts and for fattening up Strats.

These look great, and no doubt will sound great, too. Cool things happen once you break out of the 'normal stompbox sized' pedals.

What is up with using a mini jack as a MIDI input? Are the pedals really that cramped? Is this a bit for the replacement of an industry standard?

I'm not in the pedal market, but the EQ is something I think a lot of people might find interesting. Patchable EQs make a lot of sense, and are surprisingly rare.

Wow, I just noticed the weird midi jacks. I don't know if they are part of 'a new standard'. But if anything is going to be updated, midi should be. I am surprised that midi isn't entirely wireless yet.

Is it 1/4” or 1/8”? Quite a few companies (Chase Bliss, Empress, Meris, Bondi, Strymon) are using 1/4” MIDI. That would be nice if it was the way of the future...

They are all 32bit/96kHz like the GT-1000. The last update to the GT-1000 that included the "Centa-OD" must have come from the development of these, the OD has a "CENTR-OD".

For the price of the 4 of these (3 if you shop used) the GT-1000 seems like a better deal, more effects, more control (expression and multiple assignable footswitches), same processing power, same algorithms, more configurable, etc... Seems like a no brainer if you are considering more than one of these boxes.

In the other thread, on the EQ-200, I was concerned about only 4 memory's, but now as I peruse the owners manual, I see you can set 4 for each channel. ("Link" off.) So that gives you eight total. Nine, if you count the manual (MAN) setting. That's pretty sweet. That would cover my needs. I'm going to have to try one when they come out.

True, but I can't remember having seen any units employ a mini jack for it before. I did a quick search at Thomann and could find MIDI-to-jack cables, but not MIDI-to-mini jack. I'm sure that replicas will pop up soon enough if there is a market for it, but having to buy converters from Boss for this one purpose is kind of annoying, especially since there most likely will not be many choices with regards to length. Oh well, if it catches on...

Timing is just about perfect for me on this one. I have been using an EQ in my loop to cut volume and maintain saturation and I've been looking at another for additional tonal shaping. Being able to do it all in one box is really appealing.

I own 2 Boss 500 series pedals. I'm more then 1/2 way there to a GT-1000. If I added up the money I spend on my entire pedal board I could buy several GT-1000's.

I must ask to you people who use EQ pedals with presets, what do you do with your presets?
I can only think of shaving bass for a tighter low end and boosting mids for leads...
