I really am excited to try it out. Kinda let down by the Malekko Spring Chicken. That sounded like a delay tweaked to sound like a verb. My trusty holy grail will not run on 9v and has a dropout when engadged.

I kind of would like a nice buffer at the end of my chain anyways too.

What ya guys think?

it sure doesnt sound like my fender tank, the holy grail and verbzilla are the best reverb pedals ive tried but i notice a huge difference between a pedal and the real thing.

NOTHING sounds like springs. Or plates. It's a simple fact of life.

While it does sound WORLDS better than the old Boss Reverb pedals (RV2 and 3) it is still worlds away from a real spring reverb tone...

Might as well go RV-2 or RV-3 for it's tone, and a real spring for it's tone.

I've never tried this Fender/Boss reverb. From the demo, it looks/sounds like a funky little processor. I imagine it is totally digital processing tweaked to sound like a tube-driven spring tank.

All it is is Boss' COSM model of Fender Reverb with the Fender name licensed to help out both companies and generate sales.

Yeah, I wouldn't expect it to sound like the real thing. If I was considering one of these, it would just be based on the sound quality of the effect, not necessarily the accuracy.

Neat but digital and it shows IMO plus it's over 2 bills street...not for digital reverb!
