NEW BULB ROUGH CLIP WITH THE 8 STRING!! (podxt, dfhs, sansamp bd)

Hey guys!

Lately i have been getting a lot of comments about the 8 string and the lack of new clips with it, so i decided to buckle down, take a break from EP recording and mixing and lay down some riffs and see what would come of it.

This is what i have so far:

So yeah i used the podxt for guitars and this time around i used the my bassist's sans amp bass driver because when your bass is doing F an octave below your 8 string, you really need all the help you can get from your low end haha! The rest of the tweaking was done in the mix, because mixing an 8 string is a whole different ball game, and things sit very differently when you are playing in that lower range. The drums as usual are drumkit from hell superior. Anyways i hope you guys dig it!

My feelings are mixed Misha!
first ,i liked the tone alot ,it's really brutal ,yet really clear and easy to understand.That's your best sounding instrument i think!YOu can tell it to your luthier ,he will be happy!
I liked the song all around ,but there are "parts" wich sound totally seperated.like there is no bound with the song strutcure.
There are 2 parts that are really awesome ,and i like the melodic backround that you allways use.It's your sign i think!Keep on rockin' dude.You do it well!

cool daemon, i see where you are coming from, and this is definitely far from a complete or arranged idea, tho i personally didnt find it to be THAT disjointed, ill take another look at that!

cool daemon, i see where you are coming from, and this is definitely far from a complete or arranged idea, tho i personally didnt find it to be THAT disjointed, ill take another look at that!

You know how much i like your work ,so it meant to be a positive critique ,and i didn't mentionet that's extreme disjointed ,just the song works not "round" like your other work.So if you arrange it again ,i would like to hear it again!Cheers bro!

I've enjoyed your clips, & I've read a bunch of Meshuggah comparisons with your stuff, so I checked out their album "Nothing".

It bored the hell out of me. The guitar sound itself was cool, but I was ready for something else before the 1st song ended.

I like your work better, dude.

I agree that its a little disjointed in parts, but I really dig the sense of "atmosphere" this tune has. Very dark, very brooding. It seems to hook everything together IMO. It has great potential.

CGord: Meshuggah is an an acquired taste for sure...I'm personally a fan. IMHO, they have, in a way, opened a door for evolution in heavy metal.

Try Thordendal's solo project!I find it better than the Meshuggah thing.Sol Niger Withinis just amazing!
