Howdy,
After four years of yearning, I finally pulled the trigger on a new '08 Dr. Z Carmen Ghia head w/ matching 1-12 cab in blonde. It came with a NOS Sylvania 5Y3 and 20th Anniversary badge on the head. Nice touch.
So far, she sounds good with my Rickenbacker 360/6, LP Sp. (SD Vintage P-90s!), ES-335 and even my Tele. The Ghia's interaction with my Mahogany Tele proved a pleasant surprse, as I figured this amp would be a bit thin sounding for it. It's nice to be wrong sometimes
I'm thrilled about this amp, as it seems like a perfect fit for my Gibsons, especially. I've ordered a Weber Silver Bell 30 watt speaker for the 1-12 cab, as it came with a Ceramic V30. In time, this amp will sound even better, I'm sure. Any Z owners here?
Eggman
PS: BTW, my ES-335 has '59s and absolutely roared through the Ghia, though they're kind of trebly. On a side note, Rickenbackers have proved to be very adaptable to different amps.
