It probably doesn't work, but since I don't know what I'm doing, I love it! :) ("AEAEAE" is low to high, btw.)

I take an Ernie Ball slinky set (10-13-17-26-36-46), remove the 26, & add a 64 for the low A. The high E, middle A, & low E are all in standard tuning for their respective string gauges. Gives me the same range as a seven string tuned to drop A, & makes for some interesting 3-note power chords (the chorus in this clip, for example).
