New clip! Standard tuning, more rock than metal.

FedEx brought me a new toy this week, a Squier 51. So it goes wthout saying that a new clip follows shortly thereafter! :p

AK-FG

My fellow animegeek brethren may recognize the song's overall style/feel, & get the clip's name. There are a few Japanese bands that I've wound up really digging after hearing them in various animes, & I had one of them in mind as I recorded this one.

Oh, and please forgive the blatant U2 ripoff (you'll know it when you hear it).

Awesome!!! That is one thick tone right there, and I could definitely see it in an anime. I picture some dude running from giant robots, swingin' around a big sword and machine gun.

What gear did you use?

Glad you liked it! :) I use the Line6 RiffWorks amp modeling/recording package. I typically use the 5150 amp model, but this guitar did not sound too good with that one, so I went with a Marshall JCM800 model. I've got one in the works now with this guitar using the Bogner Uberschall model; it sounds entirely different, but I'm digging it. I should have that clip up by this weekend.
