are the new stacks only gonna be for people going after the "strat" tone?

or is there gonna be other stacks, with less of the strat sound?

Well, there are already dozens of "modern" stacks in the line already..... But the "vintage noiseless" concept is where most companies incl. Duncan have had a bit of problems....

I notice that the Classic Stack has already been eliminated from the new tone chart. That was a great ole pup. I hope the new ones . . . uh . . . nah, that pun's been used too much already.

Christian, the Guy Who Invented Fire, had the opportunity to compare the new Duncans to some Kinmans. He said he liked the Duncans better and Christian seems to have great ears for tone. I'd like to hear the Kinmans for myself...I've heard nothing but great things about them.

I now have the new Duncans in my gigging Strat though and they are not leaving that guitar.

I can't remember which Kinmans I had tested but the Duncans were punchier and had more balls...as a reule I am not a fan of noiseless single coils but these Duncas blew me away.

Duncan has changed them since NAMM...Lew and I tested 2 different versions of the Stack Pluses

It's a shame that these will likely make the Duckbucker (or the Vintage Rails) completely obsolete. I really like the LOOK of those pickups. Great for getting those "WTF are THOSE?!" reactions.

Have you ever thought about the fact that this might make the pickups you love VERY inexpensive to buy? Stock up my man.

It looks like the Twangbanger/SSL-1/SSL-1 setup in my Legacy could be under threat! How would the hotter bridge of the Classic Strat PLus compare to the Twangbanger?

They're not quite out yet, but they're getting very, very close. The Nuno-version has already shipped to Washburn.

I expect them to be hitting stores in the next few weeks.

seriously someone should go to guitar center and order them or try to I bet you can order them because if you think about it, alot of SD dealers dont have alot of pickups that Sd makes and you can just order them from them I bet. becaise MJ told me if i want them just to order them!!!! but i need the cash first

I ordered several sets of the new Stack Plus Pickups that Christian and I tested from Duncan Pickups just last week. I don't know when they'll show up, but I should get some of the first sets available...
