I've been wondering about these Edwards guitars for some time. I've been a ESP man for several years now and started seeing the Edwards stuff popping up on Ebay when doing searches for ESP last year. Definately top notch, pro quality gear!! Exactly, what Devastone said.. Japanese retailers can sell them and we have to import. They couldnt start importing to us to be sold retail..
Luckily, the price is decent so its still a bargain once you add on import/shipping fees.
Since Ive had to sell so much gear, when I can purchase another, Ill get another Edwards Sykes. Ill put the black pickguard and selecter ring on that came with mine when I got it from Devastone.. Looked good!!

Sorry to hear things are not so good. That axe should really help you take your mind off things. A really sweet score for a great price!

Off topic: My 2nd daughter was born in Ashington in 97, when I was stationed at RAF Boulmer.

Nothing Gibson can do.
Edwards are made and sold in the Japan market.
Trademark laws are different there.
Only thing Gibson can do is keep ESP and U.S. dealers from selling them here in the States & Canada as new.

Gibson can't tell you (as a consumer) who, what, and from where you can buy from internationally.

Keeping very well. It's a little sunnier and warmer out here in Gib than it is in Northumberland!! BTW, I've been scouring around ebay, looking for those since you posted yours! I'm not a big Lester fan, but that is just too good a deal!!

I sometimes miss my Edwards JS, but Bloodrose is giving it plenty of attention. They are definitely a great value and I think they play as good as the real thing, I actually like the neck shape better than a real LP. Hmmm, may have to pick up another one someday...

Damn you!!! Now I'm GASing real hard for an edwards, if only I hadn't just bought that agile. I guess I get one in a yr or two, who knows. Beautiful guitar rocker30, I'm jealous.:bigok:
