New ESP day

Hey guys, I got my ESP customshop Gus G signature model today. It's fitted out with Bareknuckle Mules (which are essentially AIV vintage PAFs). I wasn't surprised by its action and playability, as I've owned a customshop M2 before, but the bodyshape surprised me. It's a lot more ergonomical and comfortable than I had anticipated. It's also really resonant - which I guess isn't surprising given that it's a pretty hefty block of alder. With the Mules it has a nice midrange (with a bit of bite), tight lows, and really smooth highs. I got it from a professional guitar tech, and he was good enough to do the wiring for me, so it's totally noiseless even with absurd amounts of gain (I tend to use a fair bit, because I love how low output 'buckers sound with gain).

Excuse the crappy pictures, I hurried so I could get back to playing :D

I'm also excited to be getting my Vintage Plus back today, after a pro setup and rewiring of its STK-4s.

I'll have pics of one of my M2s maples with blackouts in it soon, too. (The other is getting BKP A2 PAFs).

Re: New ESP day

Oh, nah, I think they come with an SH6/SH2 combo or some such standard. The guy I traded it with wanted to keep the Duncans, so he swapped the BKPs out of my LP (which was what I was trading him).

Re: New ESP day

Hehe, thanks guys :D I didn't think it'd be ergonomic either, but it sits/hangs really nicely and is more comfy to play than SGs and LPs, and nearly as comfy as my strats and superstrats.

Re: New ESP day

I've been wanting one of those for about a year now... well the MIK red flametop model anyway-can't afford the MIJ model :D

Congrats!
