:reporter: Does anyone know if the new EVH bodies will accept any of Fender's necks? Or with in reason, I know Tele and Strat have to be massaged! I was thinking of doing one as my next project and can pickup the bodies fairly cheap. I really dont know about the neck prices but I am sure that there not.(cheap) Thanks for any help in advance!!!:smokin:

Re: New EVH Wolfgang body question?

The only thing they'll accept outside of a Fender-made EVH Wolfgang neck is a Peavey Wolfgang neck, and even then you need to dowel and redrill the screw holes.

Re: New EVH Wolfgang body question?

Ive seen people put different necks on the striped series guitars, which I think have the same necks, but you need to do something about the lack of the truss rod wheel on a new neck. Most people fill it in with a piece of wood

Re: New EVH Wolfgang body question?

Ok so I will have to buy the neck from EVH! Good I asked I may have to change my mind then. Thanks for the help!!!

FYI, I've seen Wolfgang Special necks going for $180-$200.

You can also check out guys like Chris Locke at Locke Custom Guitars or Scott Fletcher at Jet City Guitar who can make you a neck to your specs that'll fit. Scott was known for doing some of the most amazing non-Peavey-made Wolfgangs before Eddie went to Fender and Chris does fantastic replicas of the parts Eddie worked with (of course, minus that specific paint job). I went with Chris over KnE or Musikraft for my Azusa Franky body for my current project.

Re: New EVH Wolfgang body question?

My thoughts where in using the New body not the Fendery stripped model. I really like the body lines and finishes that Fender is producing, under his guidance?? I really was going to use diffenert humbuckers and keep it a hard tail, so kind of a Les Paul Eddy combo!? Thoughts on that?

Re: New EVH Wolfgang body question?

I have not purchased yet. I am i the begining stages of a Les Paul build and thinking about the next one I try to be on the look out while project is being worked on. This allows for less down time between builds. Thanks for all the input.
