new experimental tune

a little something I worked on this weekend, called The Open Road. it's about a bike I got as a kid. we had some good times. check 'er out. criticism's cool, but I'm not exactly striving for perfection these days with the recordings. just getting the ideas down for something to do...:headbang:

WOW!You singing is great ,great ideas and atmosphere!I liked it alot.Rock on!
And record it again with a better BAss tone when you are striving for perfection!^^

thanks for checking it out! I did one of those things with the bass where I plugged everything in, turned the bass down on the mixer, and hit record. I guess I took too much oomph outta it. I should of spent more time dialing that one in, yer right. Maybe if I do some keyboards over the part with just bass and drums...

Man that sounds killer.The sound of the bass is not right for what you play ,especially when it plays alone ,but hey ,the idea is great and it deserves attention ,some refinement and better recording!Some keys can really add mood ,and i like the whole experiment!

thanks guys! I'll likely re-record the bass and add some keys. It really helps to have others' ears on stuff, that's for sure. Now I just have to learn how to play piano/keys (I found out it's not that easy!). :smack:

It is easier than you think.You have to learn the notes once ,and playing chords will be easier than playing on guitar!
