I dig the look, but not for that price. Now if it had the hand wired 57 Tweed Deluxe reissue, or the Clapton Tremolux circuit that might be a different story.

Betcha with some sandpaper, coffee/wood stain, new knobs, maybe swapped grille cloth, and a little elbow grease you could make a regular blues jr. into one of those and pocket the grand and a bit extra.

Ah, incidentally I'm going for a similar look for the 5e3 combo I built... looks great. The money part comes from the limited number... collection items that won't be played mostly I fear.

looks cool but its still just a blues jr. for that kinda cash you could get a whole lot better amp and buy your own whiskey barrel to put it in

Spend $2000 for a poopy pcb circuit sitting in a pretty-looking cabinet.

Spend another $1500 gutting it and replacing it with the vintage Fender PTP circuit of your choice.

$3500. (priceless)

If people are tired of getting jacked by companies (such as in this particular case), they need to make a collaborative
effort and hit the company where it hurts most: the wallet. Stop buying their products; period.

The only reason companies do this crap is because the consumers allow it.

Looks awesome but totally not worth that much money. With only 100 being made, perhaps your grandchildren could turn a profit on it but even then I dunno for that price...

So fender makes a limited edition amp (100 of them) and ask too much (in your opinion) and this calls for a boycott 'cause we're getting gauged.. Am I getting this right?

You can still buy a regular blues junior all day long as far as I know and it's not like fender multiplied the prices of all their amps by 4 all of a sudden. They made this limited edition amp and, while I don't think it's worth it (you neither) I'm sure there are 100 guys ou there who will think it's worth it and buy one. Therefore, I think it's a good move on fender's part (they're a business first and foremost so they have to make profits no?). If we're all right and nobody buys them the amps will sit in the warehouse but i seriously doubt that.

It's no different than limited or luxury editions of many products out there from brand I'm pretty sure you still buy from or respect.
