New fender player series?

Re: New fender player series?

Either replace the nut or build the nut slot back up with superglue and ground plastic; then file it back down to where it needs to be.

Re: New fender player series?

Thanks for the advice. I found an old plastic bridge that came out of an acoustic. Used sandpaper to make powder out of it and filled the slot. Worked pretty well! Maybe I should go a little higher but it's ok now and low enough. I hate high action at the nut!

Re: New fender player series?

Gotta use the pencil-sawed-in-half trick, or feeler gauges, when working on nut slots, to prevent this.

Re: New fender player series?

I heard Gibson is coming out with a new player series too.. it's focused on players who dont really play as much as hang them in their man cave and have a really kick ass career and only have a need to gig with a 2900 dollar guitar on Sundays at the mega church or at the open mic with their sales team at a blues bar on Thursday.

I believe it's called the Gibson "While Collar Player series". -Should be a real hit.

Besides the 70's headstock and D/G stringtree Fender seems to have hit this series out the park. Also would be nice to choose rosewood or maple per each finish.. but I guess that would increase costs? That "penny" finish is great
