IMO, leave the pickups alone until you know for sure they can/cannot do.

I played a couple of Les Pauls the other day, and they were all awful. Well, they could have been great, but I'm a Strat guy. Either way, I did not enjoy playing them, and I would not want one.

...but threads like these really make me want to not be a Strat guy.

but i was never a fan of pickguards on les pauls!:laughing:
(not that it looks bad! a guy on the lp forum had a pickguard on his desert burst and it looked great!)
just uncomfortable

i like the nakedness of it:eek13:


yea, the gecko burst doesnt look too hot in photos, but the one i saw at my local shop is a mighty fine looking paul!

Nice pickup combo on Jaci. I put the same combo in my Epi, "Amber". Now it sounds like I want it to.

Yeah, that's what I'm talkin' 'bout. That is a sweet looking LP.
My SuperD is black and the PAF is zebra. It looks cool with the Amberburst.
Unfortunately it's a PITA to get a good picture of it.
