New Goth Guitar day!

I'm a fan of the black pickguard.

Putting studs on this, or still holding out for a faded Gibson for the full Monty?

take the guard you got

spray it candy metallic blue

trust me
.

It's subtle, and looking at it face on it pretty much just looks black.... But I tried to catch the most color in the pic I could

Put that on a scale! I wanna know how light it is. I think they made a goth LP model of the same series, too.

They did. Here's mine, recently brought back from the dead. Got it brand new back in 2001. It was between this and a used 1995 Classic. In hindsight, I probably made a bad choice. But then again, now that I'm older I very much appreciate how much lighter it is.

The finish on these was never particularly sturdy, and chipped really easily. Combine that with a 16-year-olds inability to keep things from getting banged up, this thing has A LOT of battle scars. Headstock was off at some point. And it has had god knows how many different pickups and wirings in it.

My Gothic Explorer (Gibson, not Epi) was $1100 new. That was a lot for me in 1999. I have other guitars that play a little better, but it's still my favorite 6 string. The finish is indeed trash, very weak, but structurally speaking the guitar is still in great shape.
