I made myself my very first Pickguard from scratch yesterday & not to toot my own horn but I think it came out pretty darn good!!!
A friend of mine had this sheet of single ply black guard material laying around his house for years and he gave it to me for nothing. After my Pegasus/Sentient into Stratocaster project turned out so good I decided I wanted another Pegasus loaded Strat that I could just leave dropped tuned & I also really missed having a single humbucker guitar? So I bought another Pegasus 6 & got to work. It's most definitely ugly as hell but God dang it, she sounds great!!!
I think I finally got the guitar loaded exactly the way I want? That Pegasus isn't going anywhere & although the guitar is a pretty good player now it hasn't had a setup in about 15yrs, so it's going to get one later & then this is how it's going to stay! The only downside is that now I'm going to have to find another beater Strat for building guards!!!
