New member
been a while since i been on. im working on a new stratocaster based on anniversary parts. got a 1979 silver anniversary body, 50th neck plate, and the neck is a tak hosono neck my guitar guy was hiding from me lol so far thats all i have besides a seymour duncan hot for strat ssl-3 bridge pickup. so im open to suggestions. im thinkin hot neck, or goin goofy with maybe a steel pole lindy fralin. im a surf dude, and metal shredder. fasdf.jpghosono neck for my next guitar (1).jpg1797447_10101154709694871_8304313036415157289_n.jpgklpojp.JPG

Just ditch the sd and get a the bkp sinner set. They are noisy and aggressive.

If it were mine, I'd finish it off with a 3 ply black pickguard, 57/62 Reissue bridge, and finish the pickups with the rest of that matching calibrated Hot for Strat set or Surfer neck and middle. Either a polished bone nut or Tusq.

Ditto on the pickups.
Black 3-ply or White Pearloid pickguard...or both 1 for metal, 1 for surf.
And if you like noise, how 'bout a brass nut? *Jangle Jangle*

not a fan of anything from bare knuckles. tried allot of their pickups,and they sound like hollow dead poop.

ive gone with a white pickguard. bought a seymour antiquity 2 bridge pup, and im thinking of keeping the hot for strat and putting it in the neck. so im back to finding a middle pup. what do you guys use or like for middle pups? im gonna have to look into that nut stuff. nuts do make a big difference. :omg:

the hot for strat will over power just about anything else if you have it in the neck

After trying a Quarterpound P-bass pickup, I have always though that a set of them in a Strat would sound fantastic.

Or maybe a 5-2 neck and middle with a Quarterpound bridge.
