Re: Pickup suggestions?? 2 applications

hmm.. Curious about some of the wiring ideas mentioned.. Never done something like that before with a trim pot...

Re: Pickup suggestions?? 2 applications

I've got a wah that works great for the stuff I use it for (mostly drop C) and tone pots in enough guitars , like I said - I'm just not installing in my next 2 personal builds so I dont need a tone for wah effect ( never needed one b4

Wow, sorry, a little behind the times, but no, I don't know about different heights, I usually use some foam under direct mount pickups if I need them height adjustable. Or, if you want the coolest, latest for DI mounting pickups, checkout the PMS from my buddy Mike Learn and FU-Tone - http://www.fu-tone.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=96&products_id=261

Thanks!! Yeah, Ive sent FU LOTS of money and am familiar with the mounting system.. And, have used foam before when a boost is needed. My issue is I need the cavity deeper as pups like the distortion and some others are too tall and hit the strings.. Being as how its a custom shop guitar and I dont have proper tools, Im leary about trying to deepen the cavities on my own.. So, exploring some other pickup options that are regular height..

^^^---- This has happened to me live more than Any benefit of the tone Pot ( could be the nature of my Gear , Style and song selection not being meek, that I'm just Not installing them on my next 2 personal builds . If I ever need it , I'll just bring one of my guitars with one in it . in fact , I'm thinkingc treble bleed with no T pot

You may be already be aware but in case you're not, no tone pot will be significantly brighter than a tone pot even when dimed.
