New guitar day!

Today I got a beautiful squier 60s classic vibe from a good man named Sean. The guitar plays beautifully, and is even setup to have a single Duncan jb in the bridge and wired up with a treble bleed mod just like tom delonge. Can't say enough good things about it and only put it down to get ready for work. Thanks again Sean! uploadfromtaptalk1405629626748.jpguploadfromtaptalk1405629647344.jpguploadfromtaptalk1405629658134.jpg

Re: New guitar day!

Hey, that's what I'm going to do with my new guitar minus the treble bleed mod. Sweet guitar though, congrats on your NGD!!!

Re: New guitar day!

while the necks on the Squiers are a bit thin for my tastes, I also believe the Classic Vibe series are the best values on the market. The pickups sound better than any sub $1,000 Stratocaster out there, new or used. I put a set in a parts caster and loved how great they sounded. Congrats on a fine instrument.

Re: New guitar day!

I actually love how the thin neck feels. It may sound weird, but it makes me feel like I have a lot more control. And the quality on this squier (tuners, nut, bridge etc.) all is doing me extremely well! I couldn't be more happy with it. Thanks everyone!

That tom delonge right there was my goal! I just don't have the funds to buy a signature, but I could if I would. Exactly like that one right there!

Re: New guitar day!

The only pickup in my guitar now is a jb. That's what I asked for Sean to put in this one for me. I don't have the stock pups that came with the guitar. I'm wanting to buy an invader sometime, or someday a tom delonge signature.

Ahhh, understood.

I thought the JB was the stock unit.

Re: New guitar day!

No sir, this guitar is just a squier 60s classic vibe, with the original pickups taken out, and replaced with the jb in the bridge with the single volume knob with a treble bleed. Simplicity was the goal, and to have it look like the guitar above

Re: New guitar day!

I've heard the squier is much lower in quality.. And the price people are asking for used models of those are outrageous. They want about 500 for a used squier.. I understand it's a signature, but still. That's a bit much.
