If you measured thru a cord, you have introduced a lot of other resistance to the formula (the cord, vol pot, tone pot, wires, etc.).
But if you are certain that your measurement is fairly accurate, I'd write to GFS and ask them about that because the resistance doesn't match the advertised specs for their alnico gold foil. But I'm truly glad for you if indeed it is the alnico model.

Pretty cool looking guitar. At first I thought it had two pick ups but I guess that's just a decorative plate by the fret board. Congrats.

Yep much better
Painted the face of the headstock. Didn't have the paint i wanted but came out okay.

Thanks man, yeah it took 2 coats of black enamel & 2 coats of clear. Lots of brush strokes depending how the light hits it as i had a small brush but it has a Vintage look/vibe going.
Im getting a decal that sez "Custom" in Gibson style font. For a low budget guitar its earned a spot in my rack, rings like a Bell.

I didn't notice earlier, but in the light that finish is hella sparkly.
