Actually I got this yesterday, but who cares?

Not sure what year, but it's a Jimmy Vaughn Strat. I'm normally a humbucker guy, but I've been having some single coil gas for a while now. The previous owner really babied this guitar!

I would like some advise though. The bridge single is not really my thing. I'll probably give it a few weeks to grow on me, but if it doesn't what should I go with?

I would like to put a full size humbucker there, assuming it's routed for a humbucker at the bridge and I want something that has an awesome clean sounds, with good classic rock overdriven tones.

I'm thinking a PG, Seth Lover or possibly a 59. Any other suggestions (doesn't have to be a Duncan)?

Those JV strat are awsome...enjoy. I'm not sure how the JV strats are routed underneath, so no help from me. As for the humbucker, I'd go with a CC. Great clean tones, classic rock tones and singing leads.

Thanks for the suggestion Jeff. I just peaked under the pick guard and it's routed for a humbucker in the bridge.

I forgot to add the custom custom and the '78 (EVH) to the list. I'm not sure how the cleans on either of those are, so opinions are always welcome!

I think the cleans are very good on the CC. It doesn't react like a 14k pickup, it reminds me of an APH with a little more juice. It's a really underated pickup. If you don't mind some poor guitar playing, click on my soundclips down in my sig. All Right Now is 100% CC for all parts. Heavens Door is CC for dirty rythym and APH neck for cleans. There is also a CC metal demo and a lead demo. The 78 is one I have to try in as strat.

Whatever you choose, enjoy that killer new strat!

woaa super sexy strat :'( my american deluxe looks nowhere near as nice! can you fit seth lover pickups on those? iv been asking around no ones replied :'(

Has someone already mentioned imi Hendrix using a white Strat?
If not, I will now:

Jimi Hendrix was using a white Strat aswell!!!!!!

No white Strat ebay auction without this note...
