NEW GUITAR: NEED NEW BRIDGE PUP FOR METAL

Just scored a an ESP/LTD Viper in A++ shape (see through black) love the feel of the guitar and it plays great. What i dont like is the Bridge stock Hum. It seems pretty thin and fuzzy not a lot of punch or response.

I have used different B Hums before and i dont want active. What i have in my othe guitars are

Afwayu Custom would hot from MCP
SD El Diablo
SD Black out AHB 1 and 2

I would like a really hot Punchy high gainer. I have tried Youtube and all the clips sound the same. The tone i'm looking for is over the top distortion but still has definition tight with powerful lows but no muddy or mid crazy.

Help please

there is no better pickup than the DD....
it only does everything...
and it does TeH BrOoTalZ VERY wickedly awesomely well.

Guy Marchais (suffocation) uses a DD in a couple of his warlocks...so it definitely can do death metal. I own one and i usually play old school black/death metal, and this pickup definitely does the job for me. It's chunky as hell which is good for rhythms, and no matter how much gain you use it always sounds clear.

I have a Distortion in one of my guitars (LTD AX-2E) tuned down to B and it's awesome! It sounds incredibly good through my Powerball. It's got a big low end without getting muddy, great definition, high output and that aggressive grind so many people love. Should be the right thing for you ;)

cool thanks guys i am going to the local guitar shop after lunch and check it out. I also am considering a BKP Aftermath.

well i went to the guitar shop and picked up a BKP Aftermath for the bridge. I popped it in last night and its insane. Great balance no mud in the low end and very punchy and articulate.

I thought my El Diablo was punchy but this thing is a real monster.
