I sent it your work , but it bounced back.

Sounds really good.Coool maiden tone!I love how that baby screams..cool!:D

Thank You kindly:bigthumb: Its a really nice sounding guitar. Def a screamer if it wants to be. It tends to make me overplay....need to work on that.

FYI they are Alnico II pickups :omg:

That explains the smooth dynamics IMHO...Really cool!

Re: new guitar..new clip

Thank You all! :D

I dig the pickups , and don't. It sounds bit more strident in the highs in person/live. I'm toying with throwing some Duncans in it to warm up/fatten up those highs (or maybe some Rios)

And FYI: it's NOT a pointy :omg: :laugh2:

Re: new guitar..new clip

P.S.

Rid, one of these years we will have to meet somehwere half-way on our B-day and jam :friday:

Though, I think halfway would be in the middle of the North Atlantic :grumble:

Re: new guitar..new clip

The rhythum stuff sounds nice and warm but those highs are poking. Not exactly similar to a LP Standard with burstbuckers but more liked a short scale bolt on with a JB I played one time. Strange combo of warm for chords down low but piercing highs. It was called a jagmast or something similar. But I'm sure since it's JeffB, you are playing a set neck Gibson scale instrument, eh?

So far your best "stock" clips IMO were the Cherry Ibanez Destroyer and a close second the white Gibson Explorer. A pup change may be in order on this one.

Exactly, I dig it for crunch work. The leads are a bit thin and I've dialed quite a bit with the pickups. Neck is not so bad, but the bridge can be a bit strident.

It's a hella good wood Faded SG Special with the stock 490 R/T....good call :bigthumb:

Re: new guitar..new clip

Nice job Jeff, what were your settings? I love to hear this little amp played by someone who can get the most out of it!

Can't get MP3's at work. Firewall blocks them.

Sounds really good. As said in my email, theres a nice girth and bite to it. Quick response too.

When you find that person, let me know, k? :boggled:

:D

Let me go look for settings..I've had so many guitars I cannot remember the settings anymore for them all..LOL

Gain was up full cos it smooths out the top end a bit and the pickups are pretty low output: usually I'm not past 2 oclock on the 2203 model. Master was a little under 9 oclock, regular volume was dimed. Treble was at 1 oclock. Bass and mids a bit under noon. I could/should have rolled back the treble a bit I think.

yeah..posted that before..I saw your email and replied. Thanks bro! And yup, VERY quick attack/response for a A2 pickup.

Re: new guitar..new clip

Oh and the Bassman I don't recall exactly. I just dialed something up real quick. Generally I roll the gain back to about 9 oclock, and push the mids and bass up to around 2 oclock on the bassman, treble was prolly 1 oclock. Oh and raise the master too...it was prolly around 10 oclock.

Oh yeah, I did post that before...LOL. :nervous: Long day yesterday and I'm still not full awake today after being in the studio so late. It was fun though.
