new guitar..new clip

Re: new guitar..new clip

Exactly, I dig it for crunch work. The leads are a bit thin and I've dialed quite a bit with the pickups. Neck is not so bad, but the bridge can be a bit strident.

It's a hella good wood Faded SG Special with the stock 490 R/T....good call :bigthumb:

Dig it! You know, seen a lot of recommends for the Breed Neck in the bridge position for that situation. Don't know for sure how it sounds but there are a lot of posts on the subject. Wanted to try one myself but not sure if they work well with trem and Strat scale bolt on types. Hmm, have to do a search.

I've heard that as well...breed neck in the bridge. I kind of have an idea of what I need for it, so doubtful I'll experiment with "unknowns" but I still won't close up all my options. I'm toying with the idea of Duncan AP2s.. But mostly leaning heavily to a Rio BBQ and Texas which is often reccomended for an SG due to the really thick and warm tone they have.
