It finally got here yesterday evening.


Construction: Set neck
Scale: 24.75”
Body: Mahogany - Quilted maple top
Neck/Fretboard: 3-pc. mahogany/rosewood
Inlays: Abalone flags w/model name at 12th fret
Pickups: EMG-81 active set
Electronics: 2 Volume, tone, 3-way toggle
Hardware: Black + Sperzel locking tuners + Earvana compensated nut
Bridge: TonePros locking w/stop tailpiece
Binding: White w/abalone (body, neck, headstock)
Frets: 24 XJ

The guitar rocks.

I used to think I didn't like the Abolone inlays and abolone binding on the upper-curst LTD's, but after seeing these pics I've changed my mind. Maybe I should track down one of those Viper-1000's...if they're still selling them...

Yeah, the Ablone is a bit flashy, but it brings out the class in the guitar. It makes me feel like I'm not worthy enough to play it. Haha.
But wow, it does make the guitar stand out alot more. It's rather spiffy.

As for the Viper-1000, I'm clueless on the availabilty of those.

There was a G.A.S. period where I had wanted the Viper version of the highend Ltd series guitars. It definitely pulls out all the stops, there's enough bling bling on that guitar to blind people in venues :laugh2:
