Wow is all I can say. The pics are crappy, but she's a beautiful Desert Burst Traditional Plus. Got it today from my local shop, cut me a GREAT deal on this brand new Gibby. What would you expect to pay for one of these new? Looks very nice with the Studio, Explorer and Epi 57 Jr. reissue. It's got no typical Gibson sloppy mistakes. My local guy makes sure they are right. 57 Classic pickups. Haven't given her a real good run yet, but I think I'm gonna love these pickups.

Very nice! I've been looking hard at these too.....I think Gibson is starting to get it right again!

+1 to that :) Looks much nicer than any of the Gibbo LPs I saw when I last when shopping. What's special about the Traditional? I get confused with Gibson models.

Excellent looking LP... nice to see and hear that someone has something good to say about a Gibson... I love mine too! Yours is a fantastic colour indeed.

Thanks guys, I wish the pics were a little lighter.
The traditional has the 50's neck and instead of being chambered like the new Standard, it has the weight relief holes. So it is heavier, about 8.5 lbs. Still feels light compared to my Studio, that thing is like a concrete slab.
See these on the website for anywhere from 2100 to 2300. Got this $1765 out the door.

These come plek'd now also. I guess its due to the plek machine, but the fret and fingerboard work are really great. When I got my Studio I looked at several Studios and Standards before I found one that didn't have some sloppy fret work. This one plays like movie theater butter!!!

I'm not a gibson fan by any means, but that's a classy looking guitar right there. Looks like a good instrument should. If it plays and sounds as good, you got yourself a keeper.

Thanks, when I was in the store I was looking at a black Classic. Told the owner I wasn't sure black was for me. Got a black Explorer but I just wasn't digging the black on the Classic so he said he had this one in the back. I wasn't really expecting much when he said it was Desert burst, I usually just go for the solid colors. But when he brought it out, I think a little drool came out from my bottom lip and the cash was already creeping out of my wallet to take a look! :bling:

Congrats!

I bought one identical to yours a little over a month ago and I agree, Gibson got it right. The set-up and fretwork were spot on right from the factory.
