Re: NEW GUITAR:Warning, intense flame content

When I met Paul Reed Smith he told a story that early on in the company's history there was a discussion about whether they were building guitars or creating art. The answer he said is obviously both. I know there are those who slam PRS but really what is wrong with a well made guitar that also looks great?
I purchased this guitar not just because it appeals to me esthetically but also I know the design features such as the wide-fat neck, large frets and rosewood neck will produce the sound I want. My experience with PRS and confidence in their quality control allows me to feel comfortable buying a guitar I have never laid my hands on. I purchased all my PRS electrics without playing them first. Not so for my acoustic though, just couldn't buy an acoustic instrument without actually playing it.

Love the rosewood neck on her. I'm not a fan of Prs, but I am a fan of single cutaway guitars. She's a beauty.

+1. Guitars are a work or art. Some are ornate and others are simplistic, but art none the less.

Woha, dude, with that flame in the house I can see the fire fighters coming from 'round the corner ...

Just beautiful.

Re: NEW GUITAR:Warning, intense flame content

Stunning. That's also my favorite color for a flametop.

PRS did everything right on that Singlecut. It's a culmination of every perfect feature.
I think it looks better with that stop tail, than the new squared looking Tune0Matic.
And also, the Singlecut looks so much better with binding.

yes it is a sc245. I never cared for their longer scale length insruments. Funny how you kind of gravitate towards one. Would not think 1/2 should be much difference, but it is.

I agree, I was suprised to see the binding on the rosewood neck. I would probably prefer an adjustable bridge but that will be easy enough to put a tone-pro bridge on it if it needs it. I wonder how much difference there is in tone/sustain in stop tail vs a 2 piece bridge? My guess is not much, that is why I decided to go with this beauty instead of waiting for the sc58
