New Guitar

My first Tele, finally! and it's a kickazz partscaster.

My first post in this guitar forum (or any other guitar forum) was about Teles. I always wanted one.

USACG ash body and two piece neck (asymmetrical Texas Blues profile and 7.25' to 9.5' radius); Don Mare A-5 Magnificent 7 bridge pickup; Zhangbucker Telebucker (5.6K); Callaham saddles... and assembled by Guy Shapira from Liquid Elektronika.

And thank you Curly for all the help in the process.

Beautiful. The wood looks great

Re: New Guitar

How do the pickups balance? I've always liked the look of a tele with a hum neck, but thought the bridge would be too bright, and the neck muddy by comparison.

Re: New Guitar

Dang that's nice

So what's your plan on a bigsby and roller saddles?

They balance really well together. At 5.6K with A3 magnets it's a very clear humbucker, it cuts really well through the mix without being bright. I'd describe the tone as very sweet, if that helps.

My plan? simple - keep them as far as possible from the guitar.

Re: New Guitar

I like so much about that guitar. The burst, the binding, the neck pickup. That's a great build on that. Congrats.

Re: New Guitar

I'll go one step further and say I like everything about that guitar - from the asymmetrical neck profile to the gentle conical radius to the ash body to the pickups...

I bet that guitar plays like butter and sounds like a chorus of angels.

Hey Yoni ...
That's lifetime keeper ... the Iceman would be proud! :)

I haven't had an Assymetrical profile, but I know the 7-1/4 to 9-1/2" radius is perfect!

I'll be lookin' forward to a video in the future! :)

Re: New Guitar

I'm really bad at getting to demo stuff. Maybe one day, my band will actually gets to recording - and this one will be used, of course!

The asymmetrical profile really does what you would imagine it to do - feels chunky under your thumb and leaves enough room for your fingers to work. In any aspect - it is fattest neck on any guitar I've ever owned.

Re: New Guitar

Uh oh! The blue Tele's gonna get a run for it's money - lovely jubbly...

To get this from you? I feel unworthy. :)

I'm an Albert Collins freak so this Tele is evidently a nod in his direction but I won't deny that the Blue Beauty was one of the top inspirations for this guitar.

Re: New Guitar

Warmoth doesn't make a 7.25-9.5 compound radius neck (they have great stuff but not this kind of neck)......and I like chunky necks too!
What companies make quality necks like yours? Really nice guitar.....enjoy!
