Once again, suplus of cash, blah blah blah blah. I've got two sevens at the moment, and neither is reallly doing much for me. The first is my carvin. Great guitar, but I'm tired of fiighting with the floyd. The other's a schecter hellraiser, and EMG's aint my thing. So I'm gonna sell em both and get somthing that I'll really like, and wont have to fight with.
So, I have two options: another hardtail carvin 7, or a warmoth 7.
The carvin would be tricked out like so: DC 727, Abalone block inlays, mahogony body, maple neck, flame koa top, clear finish.
Pros: Would be finished faster, marginally cheaper, knowledge that I like carvin 7's.
Cons: Stock pickups would have to go, and putting duncans in would involve a trip to my luthier since carvin makes their pickup routes oh-so-tiny.
The Warmoth would be tricked out like so:
Carved top 7, Black Limba back, flame maple top, Tiger eye finish, maple neck, ebony fretboard.
Pros: Black limba, 'nuff said bout that.
Cons: Would take longer to build, never played one before, marginally more expensive.
Of course resale value on both is likely to be ****.
So, what would ya'll do? Do the sure thing and stick with carvin, or take a chance on a potentially much-more-rockin axe?
Let there be a poll :smokin: .
