Still having problems with the 503 error.

But:

The plain maple top is 5lb 10oz,
The blue burst flame maple top is 6lb 4oz,
The Claro walnut is 6lb 5oz (this is the one with ceramic mags that I'm going to swap out),
The cottonwood burl top is 6lb 10oz (this is the A5 P-90s with such a monster tone).

those look fantastic! as a slide player, that looks like a great shape. it looks like there is a mini switch besides the three controls and normal three way?

The mini switch is a tone bypass switch. You can pre-set the tone control for where you normally prefer, then just flick a switch to go to full signal (no tone) straight out.

Great work, you definitely make that body shape work for you. I like the idea of a tone bypass switch, I can also see the use for it for convenience but I'm wondering if there's any potential to use it as a stutter effect?

i have a turner guitar with the tone bypass, it makes a difference but i dont know if its significant enough to do a stutter effect unless you roll the tone all the way down so its a big change

I really dig that walnut one. I had always been afraid of walnut guitars because of the weight, but not this shape.

Thanks for the fine comments.

Dave, walnut is fairly heavy, but the smaller guitar size and especially the chambering removes much of that weight. You can see that the walnut guitar is even lighter than the burl (partly because I didn't chamber out as much of the burl...I wanted to give it a bit more strength). But still, it's quite a bit lighter than 7 lbs.

I just noticed that the pic of the blue burst doesn't show the flame, it actually has a really dramatic flame maple top.

I really need to take better pictures or I need to know how to use the posting features better. Sorry, I really have a hard time adding pics/attachments.

How is the balance with the neck and the smaller body?

Yes, Jeremy is correct. That's the reason for the longer horn in my design. It balances very well. These are very comfortable guitars to play.

One of my customers is a pro gigging musician who has a guitar collection of over 100 guitars, many of them worth $25,000 - 50,000. (Yes, he is very wealthy). He now only plays this guitar because he says it is truly exceptional, the most comfortable guitar, best playing, best sounding of them all (yes, it's got P-90s). I am honored by his love of my guitars. He's already chosen his next guitar. It's not yet finished but he knows he's gonna love it. It's a tobacco burst Ambrosia Maple top, Sapele back, Flame Maple neck with Morado fretboard.

I'll try to post a pic of it to get your opinions.

I love that balance was a consideration. It is probably one of the top considerations for me when I choose a guitar, so that's why I play the guitars I wind up playing.

Yeah, I totally get that. I have an SG that is really cool. Love the sound (Dirty Fingers pups), love the looks (deep trans red on flamed maple), love the feel (satin finished 60s neck). But it has 24 frets. Big neck dive so I never play it. I also have a Firebird with mini hums that sounds amazing, but there again...big neck dive. It's also real good at gathering dust.
