i have just recently joined the site and hope to add my 20 years plus of guitar gear knowledge to all that is already here. i have come lookin for suggestions of pickups for my new guitar. just bought a usa jackson warrior wr1 in blood splatter. i despise active pickups, it had emgs in it from previous owner. im trying to figure out which route to go with on this guitar and am lookin to pick the knowledge of all of you here. my only experience with seymour pickups are limited to the invader which i never lived, and a benedetto b6 which has become one of my fav pickups. this guitar which im sure some already know is a quartersawn maple neck thru, and alder wings, ebony fretboard. im a shredder, and metal head, but also play mostly surf rock now. im trying to make this a fully lead guitar, and so far pickups im looking at are the warren demartini custom shop bridge pickup, distortion, and the custom hybrid/59. im still up in the air what to do. how are the demartinis, and how would a custom hybrid be in the neck position? any help would be hugely appreciated, being a noob here and noob to seymour pretty much lol

The Distortion would be excellent for the bridge in that guitar (I prefer it with either an A8 or an A2 magnet in it...I don't much care for ceramics). I actually love the hybrid in the neck. It has a nice chime to it. It also sounds great split to the Custom slug coil.

im wondering how the stag mag is. i like the single coil for tapped coils in the neck as well. i know nothing about all the coil swap craziness i heard about on here. im not into modding stuff. ill keep things stock.

nice guitar!
the stag mag's pole radius is curvier than (i would expect) your board is, but if that isn't a problem it could really work for you
if you're looking at doing surf rock stuff on it, have you considered the p-rails? phat cats could be good too, but may look out of place on that gui

im going more for 80s metal/ death metal/ surf out of this guitar. it is a collector piece, so its not my workhorse guitar.
