I was sippin my morning red bull... And on Craigsist, I spotted an Ampeg VH-140C... For $150.00!!

So... I grabbed it of course... Ad said the chorus didn't work, but I noticed the kid had both outputs coming out of the dry side, so when got home and fired this thing up properly... Stereo chorus chugging of brutality was had... And I'm giggling.

How this isn't made anymore, I have no clue... This solid state amp DESTROYS the Randalls I've had, and may just be my new gigging amp.

Those are great have the combo in the jam room it is a beast , those things are huge in Black/Death metal circles and go for big cash.

I love noticing irrelavent things myself lol. This amp is flat out brutal. I don't play death metal really, but we do some heavier stuff along the lines of old school Sepultura, and this is perfect. This, a high powered stereo 2x12 and a wah is a perfect lil rig.

Thanks! Clean channel sucks imho. I didn't get it for that though. I may run my egnater as a dry center and the vh-140c as 'wet' on the sides... Just because I can. [emoji13]

I really need to get one of my GX-130Cs out. I paid $70 for one of them ($100 for the other), and they're 2x12 combos. :D

I get a pretty great sound out of both channels with the combo it is setup with a Dunlop wah , MXR 10 band EQ , tube screamer and a Boss tuner. Might be the reverb that makes a difference ?

I looked up Suffocation... Not my cup of tea lol. This amp though is a total beast and even cleans up when rolling my volume back on the guitar. I'm impressed.

Great score! I love big fat solid state monsters that bury lesser tube amps! My Marshall Mosfet Lead 100 kills the Marshall TSL60 I used to have...
