Re: New jackson proline

I'm a member at JCFOnline and it's going around there also, with no answer yet. All we have is that they aren't coming from Japan, which is a given. I'm betting either Indo or Korea or China, but Mexico isn't out of the question either. I think it's a marketting thing with everything being hush hush and then the suprise it's made in, where ever, hope you like it. With the thought that whe ever it's made people will be happy to just get the Pro series back and won't care where it's made. This is just my opinion.

Re: New jackson proline

I'd have to guess Korea. Possibly Mexico. Either way I don't care. As long as they're decent.

They are going to sell a billion of these.

However, it is a mistake not making a Kelly version available.

Re: New jackson proline

Why can't they do a Rhoads with passive pups, trem, rear-routed that's not black and and not a pricey RR1?

Re: New jackson proline

Supposedly the bolt on models are made in Mexico and the set neck/neck thru stuff is Indonesia.

Re: New jackson proline

I wish the soloist version didnt have the pirahna inlays.. yuck.

It is KOOL that they have dunlop straplocks tho!

No the mistake is making all but one model with Floyd Roses. And the one model without a Floyd has stupid steriler-than-my-dog-after-it-got-spayed sounding EMG's.

Re: New jackson proline

I'll pass. IF they are made in Korea, they will be good, but they will never be japanese quality.
Guys..I think its time we consider snatching up whats l;eft of the Japanese Jacksons and Charvels , and let out favorite little teeny boppers here get the Indonesian junk and rave about how great they are.
Damn I need to get me a Charvel So-Cal. Are they still making those? Thats the bargian of the day.

Re: New jackson proline

Well i have no verification on this , but it look like they'll be made in india or china, the only evidence i have to support this is that the Jackson X's are made in india if im not mistaken and the new budget friendly charvels are made in china.
thats about it, but saddnes me that i wont be able to get one.

I dont't care where they are made but i care if they people making them are fairly paid. its not a political stance, but a human one.

Re: New jackson proline

The new seafoad green Ibanez Jem is made in Indonesia and has the graphite reinforced necks, so since the some of these are using graphite reinforced necks, it's my guess Jackson may be the same Indonesian factory as Ibanez.

i have my eye on the Rhoads

Re: New jackson proline

starting look like the Indonesian guitars have good QC over all, shecter i know has theirs made as well, also like you said ibanez.

Indo or korean jackson would be a good save imo.

I find it interesting that they are using graphite reinforced necks. Taking a cue from Carvin?
Couple that with the blue quilt top dinky with the maple board looking a bit like carvin's Jason Becker tribute model. Just an observation..
