New Jazzmaster Ant. One Bridge p/u....

Greetings all~ After installing my new/used A2 Antiquity bridge p/u, I was a little underwhelmed,,, or maybe it's late... My Squier JM came with some non-original pups, (probably some A5's with screwed pole pieces,,,), & the real beefie neck pup is dwarfing the output of the new bridge.... I understood from the git-go that the A2 would be noticeably softer & less output than most pups I'm used to in my Strats, typically A5 or 3's....

I've never owned a JM... it plays & feels great, & I'd like to coax some 'alternative' clean sounds out of it.... Should I give the A2 Antiquity Neck a chance, & see how they balance & sound, or should I also look at the other SD JM offerings?
This is not my wheelhouse, yet.... FWIW, I'd be playing it CLEAN, more than anything else.... Also, about JM p/u heights.... more Strat-like in that further away is very okay??
Many thanks ॐ

If it were me, I'd either get an Antiquity II neck (A5), or an Ant II set, or move the beefy neck to the bridge and put the A2 Ant bridge in the neck.

Another option would be try a Hot Jazzmaster neck in the bridge and put the A2 Antiquity bridge in the neck.

Or just put an A2 Ant neck in the neck.

I'm speaking from my experience with a Jaguar rather than a Jazzmaster, which is slightly different, but I get the vibe you are going for. Just trying to help.

the antiquity has an aged a2 with a vintage wind so isnt going to have very much output. you can raise it pretty close to the strings without issue, id start by doing that and maybe lowering the neck pup a bit to see if you can get a better volume balance. if you do want to swap pups around, there are plenty of options
