NEW Line 6 Tone Core FX Pedal Line

Gearjoneser

Gear Ho
Has anyone tried or bought any of these? I haven't seen them yet, but I'm curious to try them. I like the big modeling stompboxes, so these seem to be stripped down versions, which take up less pedalboard real estate. The prices seem pretty good too.

I think they look kinda retarded.

But, I am a big fan of Line6 products...so they probably sound like heaven.

Re: NEW Line 6 Tone Core FX Pedal Line

Gearjonser... I have all of them. I've only used 2 so far (Crunchtone and Uber Metal) for my monthly Line 6 article. Pretty cool stuff! I hear really good stuff about the otherse. I had them all at our recent Line 6 usergroup mtg for any who wanted to try them. I might have them over at my studio one day this or next week if you wanna come by and try them one evening. Were you aware that pedal guru George Tripps of Way Huge pedals fame is the man behind the pedals stuff at Line 6?

I have looking at the Crunchtone. After Xmas I may pick it up.

I've been looking for a good Reverb pedal. Would the Echo Park be good for this , or should I just keep my eyes set on the Boss Reverb?

Make your eyes look at the Electro harmonix Holy grail pedal. I tried it about a week ago and damn i want it, best reverb pedal that isn't a rack? Talking about it makes me want it

Institute, do you know if the software in these are the same digital circuits as the bigger pedals, minus the extra FX? I have my blue and green pedals setup the way I like'em, so I'm wondering if the sounds are identical?

Re: NEW Line 6 Tone Core FX Pedal Line

I don't know about the circuitry. Jeorge is out of town on vacation this whole month, so I can't ask him till January. Your welcome to come A/B them if you like. It would make an interesting find regardless.

Re: NEW Line 6 Tone Core FX Pedal Line

I'd be very interested in the delay if it sounds as good as the DL4 I used to have. The less real estate taken up, the better.

Re: NEW Line 6 Tone Core FX Pedal Line

I went to GC to try them out but the pedal display was jacked beyond belief. Normally I could have fixed it in a minute but this was like spaghetti with metal meatballs. Plus when i actually DID get one of them working i found out the pedals tie-downs were covering the control names so I couldn't tell what the hell was going on. I'll have to go back in there after the Xmas frenzy is over and spend some time with them on a nicew tube amp in the Loud Lounge.

I'm especially interested in the compressor and the delay, possibly the chorus too.
