New Lonestar Strat...Sweet

Re: New Lonestar Strat...Sweet

Yeah, really. It throws off the balance, favoring the neck. Besides, Strats look better to me with a smaller headstock.

Re: New Lonestar Strat...Sweet

Same here. When I started playing (Mid 1970s), I disliked the older headstock in favor of the ol cheese hammer monstrosity. Back then the attitudes was that newer almost always was better.

Strats look better balanced with the smaller headstock, IMO. But these days I'm ok with the bigger one if the guitar is good.

I still have a fetish for a '70s Tele Deluxe - it will be one of my future guilty pleasures. ;)

+1. The two-point trem and brushed saddles are also a welcome addition.

Re: New Lonestar Strat...Sweet

I just ordered the Ocean Turquoise Deluxe Lonestar. I prefer the big headstock and like the black bucker. My other Strat has those features too.
I don't particularly like my Strat to be too "matching this matching that" featurewise.
I like just a splash of pretty, not all out pretty and shiny lol! Looks too delicate and dainty that way IMHO.

Mine's coming with stainless American block saddles too, instead of the terrible vintage stamped ones.

Pickups...we'll see. I may be surprised with their sound so I'm open minded. The singles I'm not very picky about, but the bucker I am. Time will tell...

looking forward to a report back on that. I love everything about these guitars - headstock, black bucker, colors, etc.

Oh yeah!!! That's the one.

I've got a gold strat, and it's even more beautiful in person.

I also have to say that I'm a fan of the two point trem.

I've got this one which is a bit different on many points, but it is one of the best bang for buck strats I own. And gorgeous beyond compare. Love the tinted neck with the gold body. Would like a pearloid pickguard and 2 point trem, but it truly plays and sounds incredible. I got it on sale for $75 off and an additional 17% off. Final cost was less than $270!!!
