New LP Combo - Seth Lover / Jazz

This combo works very well in a Les Paul. Good balance. I like the jazz in the LP more than I did in my tele - it's more lively and sensitive. It's not as complex sounding as a 59n, but it has nice presence and a tight bottom end. It's bright, airy, pretty cool. If you work at it, you can get 59n tones by putting some power on the strings.
I think I'll keep this combo for a while

I have a 7.5 Fralin and a Seth in my "V". I assume its similar, although I think that there is less bass and treble in the Fralin. It also has more mids, and the Fralin's mids are certainly more complex than the Jazz. I bet its a killer combo! I'm looking forward to some clips Stevo!

I'm starting to think I love the Seth bridge, but I've never had any problem with the 59 neck, like some people do....I like it. I need to try the Seth/59N.
Right now, my LP's have a Seth set, C-5/59, C-5/59n/59n in the 3 pup Custom.

Jolly told me that he tried a Jazz bridge as a neck pickup and thought it may be the best neck tone he'd ever heard. I'd like to try the C-5/Jazz B.

I pulled the Antiquity set out of my LP Classic and replaced them with a 59 set. The Antiquity HBs had really nice mids and highs, but the neck lacked lows and the bridge lacked any bite. I set the 59's lower than the A2 HBs I have (Seths, APH/PGb), and now they sound really nice -- strong but not overpowering lows, smooth highs with some bite on tap, and much better mids than I expected. I think they'll stay put for awhile.

I love the Seth set in my semi-hollow, too -- as expected, they are softer in the lows, stronger in the mids, and they are smooth on top but can bite when needed.
