New LPjr Style Builds Out of Ca, Alright SD Fam, Do Your Worst! Whaddya Think of 'Em

Re: New LPjr Style Builds Out of Ca, Alright SD Fam, Do Your Worst! Whaddya Think of

Interesting looking beast of P90 Tone I bet. How about a back shot and a side shot to show thickness? Did I miss the body/neck woods? I prefer a tunable bridge but lots of folks dig this. I would be curious if you have thought of a Leo Quan type bridge for them? LOVE to see one in a Natural Mahogany finish and one in TV Yellow with all Black plastic parts.

Here's a couple more photos of a Frost Satin finish we completed last night. Has different tuners too! and one of Lance from Gear Talk playing on our TV yellow model at NAMM. I gotta check those bridges out. We haven't done a Natural finish yet! Definitely on the list!

Looks like the Leo Quan I mentioned earlier is not made anymore that I could find. These are nice and look similar to them. I have one of these on a Dean Baby Z.

BTMN! I really like the TonePros product! We were looking at Hipshot's new super secret wraparound bridge they'll be releasing this year too. I was concerned with the TP design being a little too machine'ish, but I gotta say, it looks pretty badass right there!

I'll start by saying that I am NOT a Gibson guy, or a traditional guy for that matter. That being said, these do look good to me for what they're going for (a PRS Mira kind of vibe, and I believe that was very well-received).

A no-frills, quality instrument that looks great in its' simplicity.

The only thing I'd like to see would be a set of mini-hums per the original Taylor Solidbody in place of the P-90s and MAYBE a trem version.
Think Wilkinson/Hipshot instead of Bigsby, even though admittedly, it would the the latter that'd be more likely to appeal to the kind of crowd that primarily goes for these types of guitars.

Lastly, I think I better like the matching headstock rather than the all-black one. :)

Thanks KeeperOS! I appreciate the feedback! We definitely offer a mini-hum option, and we use the 4201 retrofit by Schaller, standard, for trem options (although we can install any bridge (almost) in these designs. We go back and forth with the head stock color! Black is the default, right? I def like the all-one-color on the placid blue

There ya go AlexR! Is that placement more comfortable? Or just for the look??

Not sure if there was supposed to be a pic attached......but you do seem to get a more warm neck tone with the typical gibson LP position. Plus there is the middle switch posi tone which seems to benefit from that too.....SG's never seem to have that cluck as much.

Hi AlexR, 'There ya go' was in reference to your feedback, hadn't gotten a response like that yet... I was writing out loud. Some good points to take into consideration as we keep refining these! Thanks!
