It is amazing, even in the last few months I have seen metal panels from 73 and earlier start fetching 1200 to 1500, it seems the only decent deals out there are the MV JMP. Ebay seems to have changed everything and as a result it is getting tough to find deals. You almost have to look for some old guy that does not have the internet, a guy I know snatched up a 71 for 400.00!! a year or so ago. It is going to be real interesting to see the price point as Marshall will be able to sell these with room for discount at GC and the like. It seems they are making a limited amount initially to get the hype going but it is not going to be just a limited run, at least accoring to what I read at the PP forum.

Just knowing that you are playing through an exact replica of the amp that Page played or Hendrix played etc etc would be so killer (until I heard my chops instead of theirs ) Should be an intresting next 6 months once these start hitting the market. I can't wait to hear some clips. The one I am most excited about is the Super Lead. For some reason I have major gas for that amp. Dime out everything and toss a pedal in front of it. Head down, leg out, rock!

I certainly wont turn my nose up to the idea. I am looking forward to hearing these things. The prices don't look horrible either.

You're right Kevar. The fact that companies like Blockhead, Roccaforte, and Wizard
have been making far superior "real Marshalls" has bothered Marshall. They invented the damn amp, and now they want to capitalize on a picky upper market.
I still think you're better off searching the used Market for a great early Marshall, then paying to have it maintenanced once to rid itself of old components. You can pay
$1000 for that option, or wait till Marshall sells a bunch of these for $3500.

I agree with you Gearjoneser. Don't forget Voodoo amps, they also make plexi replicas. Anyway I was looking for an old plexi from 1967-68 but was afraid which one I was getting mainly because they are different from one another. Marshall use different components everytime since they run out of parts it change the tone constantly (not to mention that they run about $3500). So if they are making a replica of the 67's plexi which one.....I think boutique amps have taking care of that little problem, and will have the advange over Marshall. Don't get me wrong this sounds like great new for Marshall. But it sounds to good to be true

Regardless of what they do, I will still love to have re-make or original 100W Bass Head. That is definitely "tone-to-da-bone". It will be good stuff if Marshall puts them out.
